terrorists rebels’ have been stepping up the hostilities in Syria lately. First we had a bombing in Damascus that killed some of Assad’s security team. Now the battle rages on in Aleppo. The Syrian government claims the upcoming battles they face will determine the future of Syria.
The picture painted all over Western media is that Assad is using chemical weapons on his own people (where have we heard that before?), and that he must go. We also know from the media manipulation surrounding the Syrian issue that that we shouldn’t believe everything we read from “respected” news outlets. We all need to find the answers for ourselves. I read this earlier today mathaba.net:
Many Syrians and outside observers alike, fear that militants may deploy chemical weapons in one or more locations around Syria, creating a mass-casualty event to subsequently be blamed on the government by a coordinated Western media disinformation campaign. The so-called “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) has already been conducting strings of devastating, indiscriminate mass-casualty bombings across the country, as reported by Reuters’, “Outgunned Syria rebels make shift to bombs.”
Not only that, but CNN Wrote this about who the “rebels” really are:
On Wednesday, CNN’s crew met a Libyan fighter who had crossed into Syria from Turkey with four other Libyans. The fighter wore full camouflage and was carrying a Kalashnikov rifle. He said more Libyan fighters were on the way.
The foreign fighters, some of them are clearly drawn because they see this as … a jihad. So this is a magnet for jihadists who see this as a fight for Sunni Muslims.
So we have lies from the media, and a possible staged attack in Syria in order to point the finger at Assad so that we will feel as if it is our moral duty to save the world. I don’t know why the world can’t see that this is one big gang rape of Syria, to kick off a war with Iran!
Turkey wants to be on the winning side of this it seems, but perhaps they have miscalculated. International politics is such a crapshoot anyhow. They’ve decided to station troops and tanks on the Syrian border for a “military exercise”.
Tensions between Turkey and Syria have not been going well lately and it seems to me as if they were intended to go south from the very beginning.
The U.S. doesn’t have enough of the people’s support to invade Iran right now. Knowing that the Syrian and Iranian governments have a mutual defense pact, the best way to start a war with Iran is to provoke Syria. News.antiwar.com states that Iran has given this some thought also and warns Turkey:
“Any attack on Syrian territory will meet with a harsh response, and the Iranian-Syrian mutual defence agreement will be activated,”
While all of this is happening, the U.N. is sitting around voting “on harsh Syria resolution” which is tantamount to doing nothing at all. RT says the talks are essentially pointless:
If passed, the resolution will not be legally binding, since all UN General Assembly resolutions are advisory.
So be prepared for a few smaller skirmishes before the real fighting begins. I don’t think it will be as pleasant as our adventures in Afghanistan or Iraq. In fact it could get a lot uglier than that. Russia is now moving their pieces into play, and China too is beginning to put their warships near the area. This powder keg in the middle east could start a chain reaction that none of us are prepared for, nor desire.
