Syria rebels and regime blame each other for 1st alleged chemical weapons attack – CBS News

Is this going to be the casus belli for the invasion of Syria? The provocations of Assad have been ongoing for quite some time and show no signs of relenting.
The Syrian government is blaming the first chemical attack on the foreign backed rebels, and the rebels are pointing the finger at the Assad regime.

Syrian state media accused rebels of firing a chemical weapon for the first time on Tuesday in the north of the country, killing at least 15 people in the war-torn Aleppo province. Rebels quickly denied the report and accused regime forces of firing a chemical weapon on a long-range missile.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see boots on the ground in Syria in just a short time. The U.S. and Israel seem to be itching for a fight in Syria as a pretext for war with Iran. With this news announcement of chemical weapon use (no matter who used them) we could very well see foreign intervention in Syria very soon.

Syrian Rebels Claim to Take Over Chemical Weapons

The Syrian Rebels have claimed to take over chemical weapons.

“We cannot have a situation where chemical or biological weapons are falling into the hands of the wrong people,” Obama told reporters at the White House.

This strikes me as very curious. Recently President Obama has said that any use or movement of these chemical weapons would be enough to trigger US military intervention. This looks to me like a perfect setup for a false flag operation to justify another military escapade in the middle east.

In fact, since it is known that the enemy we fought in Iraq is now being supported via the CIA (al-Qaeda), I’d say these weapons are already in the wrong hands! Again we see more duplicity in the US government; if the chemical weapons are in the hands of al-Qaeda everything is ok, but if a sovereign country has them WE MUST INVADE!!!

Just over the Horizon

сирия алеппо бои противостояние сирия оппозиция сирия повстанцы сирия оружиеThe conflict in Syria is rapidly turning into a war just over the horizon. In the days I’ve been away (yes, again) due to computer issues, there have been many developments regarding the West’s pressure to remove al-Assad. President Obama has not ruled out a military strike (independent of any UN or NATO action), and has been issuing ultimatumsto the Syrian government.

The United States has threatened Syria with military action regardless of UN backing.

I think the Western forces underestimated the resistance they would meet when they planned this (mis)adventure.
The US tried to duplicate its “victory” in Libya while assuming no variances. This has been a mistake so far as the Syrian troops have been able to push back all of the attacks by the rebels. Since the Libyan playbook didn’t work out, the war rhetoric is getting more aggressive.
Obama says that even moving chemical weapons is enough to trigger an armed conflict with the US; acting alone if necessary.
We learned not too long ago that the CIA was directed by Obama to support the Syrian rebels , who turned out to be al-Qaeda.

….the Obama administration has conceded al-Qaeda’s involvement in the Syrian rebellion.

We also learned not very long ago that chemical weapons were found to be in the hands of these same rebels. So what we have, in my opinon, is a perfect setup for a false flag operation in Syria to justify an invasion. A Free Syrian Army fighters (Reuters/Handout via Reuters TV)This would definitely draw in Iran and that is all it would take for a major military confrontation that would ignite the entire middle east.
In addition to a conflict that will not only affect the infrastructure and economies of the countries in the middle east, but this could also turn into a conflict that spans the globe.

Russia and China have opposed military intervention in Syria throughout 17 months of bloodshed and have vetoed three U.N. Security Council resolutions backed by Western and Arab states that would have raised pressure on Damascus to end violence.

There has been an ongoing campaign to destabilize Russia which seems to point to this entire debacle being pre-engineered. Coupled with the diplomacy issues we face in Russia, China has also been growing colder in their relation with the US, and aggressively supporting N. Korea.
It appears that we are at the brink of world war and TPTB don’t seem willing to change course. It really sucks being a pleb at times like these…

Never a moment’s rest…

150294523US002_GAS_MASKS_DIThere is never a moment’s rest when it comes to beating the drums of war. Every waking hour is spent worrying about what is on the horizon, not only for Americans, but what is on the horizon for all of humanity.
512305_ote_rugby_120x600The push for war with Iran and Syria seems to get more and more aggressive everyday. I’m not sure what TPTB are waiting on, but I am sure it will happen before the year is out.
I’m really not sure if Israel’s ultimatums are anything more than window dressing for the masses. However the masses are erring on the side of caution, in Israel at least. Citizens there are stocking up and readying themselves for a conflict. Although the Israeli government wants the masses to believe the conflict would only last a month or so, and with only a few Israeli casualties, but we all know how long these conflicts will last; take a look at Afghanistan or Iraq.
There is still some division within the Israeli government as to whether Israel should risk an attack on Iran without stronger commitments from Barack Obama. Yet, where there is no division is whether to attack or not. Israel is trying to push for a more solid commitment from US and is beating the drums of war to get it. Israel has already made it clear it would like the US to wage the war on Iran, but is also threatening to draw us in by engaging in a unilateral attack. This sort of thinking would have more than the 500 Israeli casualties Israel thinks it may sustain. What about all of the US service men and women in the line of fire between Iran and Israel?
Once again, Israel is playing with fire. It won’t be too long until the US and Israel gets burned.

One step closer…

Things are moving at a feverish pace in the past few days and I’m having a difficult time keeping up on what is happening in Syria and analyzing what it all means. I think this is part of the plan. It seems to be working very well. Most people I interact with don’t seem to know much about the conflicts in Syria.
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin NetanyahuThere seems to be an ongoing campaign to keep the masses confused. There are reports out suggesting the US will wait until 2013 to do anything about Iran if the talks fail by then. Yet, on the contrary we see Israelis stocking up, and Israeli government officials declaring the talks have failed and diplomacy has ended.
Israel has decided to step up the war rhetoric by the above announcement and also preparing for a multi-front conflict, while preparing to attack Iran. I figured that was a logical move considering their history with their neighbors. mapI’m not so sure it is a strategic defensive maneuver, but rather setting up for a land grab as suggested by Michael Rivero, considering it looks as if the conflict is starting in the Sinai region, and Israel is talking about attacking Lebanon! Add to that, Saudi Arabia has told citizens to leave Lebanon immediately (another link), along with Qatar and the UAE following suit.
Israel seems to think that the conflict, once begun, will only last a short time (another link). However, as we have seen in other military conflicts of the recent past, brief will be one adjective we will not use to describe it. While Israel is preparing for a confrontation with Iran, they are also stepping up the war fever with Syria. Again the mention of Assad and chemical weapons paints a grim picture of what’s to come in the region (regime change…again). The Israeli Ambassador to the US, Michael Oren recently said:

“If you had to assign a clock to” Syria, Oren said, “that clock is ticking.”

Baseball Gear From SportsKids.ComThe media tries to paint Assad as a loner and quickly without support, but that isn’t the truth. The war mongering surrounding Syria along with the Western backed rebels, is being watched by the entire world, and not going unnoticed. The Israeli government and the US government is trying the same tactics as they have in the past, however this time there is much less legitimacy to their claims.

Unlike Iraq’s Saddam Hussein and Libya’s Gaddafi, Syria’s leader cannot be easily demonized in the corrupt Western press. Unlike Saddam, Assad has never committed war crimes either against a minority in his country or a sovereign state. As a result, there is substantial and committed international support for his leadership and the current Syrian government.

Jordan destroys 2 Syrian border postsWhat I can’t wrap my head around is why Jordan is now joining the fray on the side of the West, along with Turkey’s escalation of the hostilities and conflict. What is even more appalling is the fact that the Syrian rebels consists of mostly foreign influences and even members of al-Qaeda, but the West still supports their actions; thereby supporting terrorism and war crimes.

The Plan for Syria

A Free Syrian Army fighter fires an AK-47 rifle in Aleppo August 15, 2012. REUTERS-Goran TomasevicIf you’ve read any of my other blog posts regarding the Syrian situation, you will know I’ve been keeping a close eye on it and the developments. I’ve said many times that the road to war with Iran goes through Syria.

I have been rethinking the situation there. I was too narrow in my thinking by assuming that Israel and the U.S. wanted to draw Iran into the fray. I’m thinking that another approach might be to remove Assad from power to install a puppet in which to pressure Iran further. This seems to make sense (to me at least), and follows what the U.S. has been doing in Iraq an Libya.

What gives this idea further credence is the fact that Leon Panetta doesn’t act as if there is any way Assad can stay in power, and speaks as if it is only a matter of time. Yesterday, the Pentagon accused Iran of training Syrian militia. A move that Panetta says will “bolster a regime that we think ultimately is going to come down.”

I can’t rule out what I said in other blog posts about a false flag chemical attack to provide “justification” for official boots on the ground, which will draw in Iran.

Today there are reports of the Syrian rebels attacking a hotel that housed UN monitors and have also faced the Syrian government forces in Damascus again (or still, depending on how you see it). Let’s not forget that these are the very rebels Obama has directed the CIA to support, even though they are confirmed to be comprised (in part) of al-Qaeda! These attacks and the subsequent retort by the Syrian government are meant to paint Assad in an unfavorable light in order to prepare us for a conflict (at best) or war (at worst) with the Syrian government.

In either case (drawing Iran into the mix, or ousting Assad and installing a puppet leader) war with Iran is coming. I don’t know why more Americans aren’t preparing for this eventuality. The Israeli people are. They understand what all of this saber rattling means. They understand that elections are coming up and this is being accelerated in order to push political agendas.

U.S. Double Standard

The United States claims that Assad’s government is behind some of the murders, explosions, and other nefarious acts committed on the people of Syria. Yet there is evidence that these attacks are being carried out by rebel forces from inside and outside of Syria. Even US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has admitted that Al Qaida is involved with the “rebels.”

So the western world has been painting a picture of the “evil” Assad regime and has been  preparing us for military conflict over Iran. In fact, Ron Paul wrote yesterday:

Last week we learned that President Obama signed an intelligence “finding” directing the CIA to covertly assist rebels in Syria

So we see that Al Qaeda is our enemy one day, and a CIA asset the next (doesn’t all of this sound familiar?)! We’ve always been at war with Eurasia!
Earlier this week I wrote an article regarding this authorization to provide support to Syrian rebels by President Obama.
Leon Panetta, the United States Defense Secretary makes the claim that it is Assad who is to blame for all of the violence in Damascus and Aleppo; at the beginning of his Middle East tour he said:

“Aleppo is another example of indiscriminate violence against his own people that just makes very clear that he [Assad] has lost all credibility to lead that country.”

I don’t get that at all. It seems he is doing rather well, or would be if other countries wouldn’t support terrorism in Syria’s borders, or if the United Nations wouldn’t impose crippling sanctions (which according to the U.S. playbook is a prelude to war).
What Congressman Ron Paul has to say is at odds with the picture Panetta is painting:

According to another recent press report, German intelligence services estimate that nearly 100 terrorist attacks have been committed by al-Qaeda or related organizations in Syria over the past six months. Last month, a suicide bomber in Syria killed a defense minister and several top government officials. The U.S. government, which has been fighting a “War on Terror” for more than a decade now, refused to condemn that act of terrorism.

It looks to me like Assad will hold on to power for a little while longer, but not too long. This entire destabilization in Syria is being engineered in order to draw Iran into the fray. Unfortunately, it looks like it is working as “Iran reaffirms ‘unbreakable’ alliance with Syria.” If you’re unaware, Iran and Syria have a mutual defense pact, that could be triggered very easily!

The war rhetoric is heating up quickly! Every other news story is about war with either Syria or Iran or both. Just today, infowars.com announced that Israel has decided to attack; now the only question is when?
